Rabia Leman Primary School is located in Atasehir, a rapidly
developing district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Istanbul is a
mega city, as well as the cultural, economic, and financial centre of
Turkey. There are about 13 million residents in the city. The city has
always been a tourist destination with a rich historical background
and a vivid socio-cultural life.
The school serves a neighborhood that is left rather
under developed in the middle of luxurious housing projects. There’re
small apartment buildings, individual houses, some small businesses
and two big shopping malls near our school.
Pupils and teachers
We have approximately 1100 pupils aging between 5 - 15 and 33
personnels; 15 classroom teachers, 16 branch teachers and 2 management
staff. Pupils with special needs are integrated to basic education
groups.
Our School Buildings
The school building was built in 2002. There are 26 classes, 2 offices,
a teachers’ room, a multi purpose conference hall, a computer lab, a
science lab and a library in the school. The school canteen is located
outside the school building.
